May Races in Fresno

There are a lot of races that you can participate in during the month of May. So if you need a little bit of motivation to get running/walking, want the prizes and incentives that go along with the race, or you want to support the charity/project the race supports here’s your chance!

Fresno Olé 5-Que

If you’re a taco lover, then this race is for you! On Sunday, May 5th, run or walk along the Sugar Pine Trail, just north of Fresno’s River Park Center. At the end of the race, you can enjoy tacos, live music, a Folklorico Dance demonstration, and a Zumba session.

Mother’s Day Run 2019

Make your Mother/Daughter or Mother/Son team and sign up for the Mother’s Day Run for Saturday, May 11th. The race starts at the Mountain View Shelter in Woodward Park. All proceeds benefit local youth projects.

Fresno Retro Run

The first ever Fresno Retro Run takes place on Saturday, May 18th at Chukchansi Park! There will be prizes for the top 3 best-dressed men, women, and team. Each race entry includes a free ticket the Fresno Grizzlies baseball game on May 18th.

Shinzen Run Walk

The Shinzen Run Walk is on Saturday, May 18th in the Group Activity Area in Woodward Park. Choose between running 10 miles, 5k, or 2 miles and get free entry to the Japanese gardens when you’re finished. Participants will receive a pancake breakfast and a finisher medal.

Taco Run 5k

Another run for taco lovers! The 2nd Annual Taco Run takes place on Saturday, May 25th at Woodward Park. All proceeds will go to help homeless families in need. Make a difference in the Fresno community by participating in this 5k. There will be taco trucks and contests after the race.

Kate grew up in Santa Rosa, California and attended school at Point Loma Nazarene University in San Diego, where she studied Media Communications with an emphasis in Film Studies.
