The Central California Food Bank can help you get groceries through CalFresh. What is CalFresh? CalFresh is a nutrition assistance program sponsored by the USDA. It helps those with low income to receive access to healthy food. Benefits are assigned on an EBT card, which functions like a debit card and can be used at most grocery stores.

Facts about CalFresh:

  • You don’t need to have children to receive CalFresh
  • SSI recipients can apply for CalFresh
  • If employed, you can apply for CalFresh

Helpful Documents to have ready:

  • I.D. for all adults
  • Proof of income for previous month
