There are loads of art summer day camps to choose from for kids this year. To make it easier for you to choose one, here they are broken down for you.

Fresno Art Summer Camps

The Artist In Me

What They Do: The Artist In Me has daily classes that kids and their parents can take with dozens of different paintings to choose from. They also offer week long summer camps where young artists will:

  • Create four 16×20 acrylic paintings on canvas
  • Two air dry clay animal sculptures with paint
  • Create crafts

Dates: June 1 through August 15 for individual classes; June 13 through August 19 for week long summer camp classes
Age Group: Ages 6 & up
Location: Corner of Herndon and First, Fresno

Children’s Art Studio’s Summer Art Camp

What They Do: Kids can explore drawing, painting, and sculpture while enjoying swimming, picnics, and playing with friends.
Dates: Monday – Friday sessions from June 6 through July 15
Age Group: Ages 6-13
Location: Old Fig Garden area, Fresno

California Arts Academy

What They Do: California Arts Academy has three different camps for certain age groups. Preschool Arts Camp, ages 2-6, include dance, art, crafts, gymnastics, music, singing, and drama. Talent Team camp, ages 7-13, has classes in acting, dance, singing, stagecraft, and music. Broadway Musical Review, ages 5-17, is a production and a workshop where students will be involved in the full process of music, staging, props, costumes, and choreography.
Dates: Two week sessions starting June 13 through August 12
Age Group: Ages 5-17
Location: Two locations – On Blackstone between Shaw & Gettysburg and on Wishon south of McKinley Ave
Price: $275 per session per student

Milestones Youth Jazz Summer Camp

What They Do: This camp is for jazz musicians and aspiring jazz musicians. A faculty of outstanding jazz educators and musicians will lead small group ensembles and provide master classes and instruction in jazz theory and improvisation for kids playing at every level.
Dates: June 13 – June 18 from 8:30 am to 4 pm
Age Group: For kids just entering middle school to college students 20 years of age or younger
Location: Fresno Christian High School on the campus of Peoples Church, 7280 N. Cedar Ave in Fresno
Price: $435 per student

McCoy Summer of Art Dance and Talent

What They Do: Kids will enjoy music, art, and dance as well as ice cream days, pizza days, movie days, and PJ days.
Dates: Week long sessions from June 13 to July 29
Age Group: Ages 5-14
Location: McCoy Talent Gallery in Manchester Center on the corner of Blackstone and Shields

Fresno School of Music Summer Camp

What They Do: Fresno School of Music offers multiple music classes including keyboarding, guitar, and voice lessons with different age groups for each class.
Dates: Multiple sessions with dates ranging from June 14 to July 23
Age Group: 6 months to 17 years
Location: Corner of Herndon and First, Fresno
Price: Price ranges from $75 to $98 depending on the session

Fresno Pacific University Summer Music Camps

What They Do: Fresno Pacific University offers programs in woodwinds and brass, strings, voice, piano, musical theater, and contemporary worship as well as electives in jazz, chamber ensembles, music composition, and musical theater.
Dates: June 26 to July 1
Age Group: Ages 11-19
Location: On Chestnut Ave just south of Butler Ave

Fresno Art Museum’s Summer Art/Theatre Academy

What They Do: The workshop themes offered include:

  • Printmaking/bookmaking
  • Exploring fiber art
  • Comic book design
  • Mural making
  • Drawing and painting
  • Costume making

Dates: July 11 to August 5
Age Group: Ages 8-16
Location: First Street just south of Clinton Ave
