It’s that time of year again for fun summer activities! There are all kinds of summer camps to choose from in Fresno this year! Check them out below!

Zoo Camps

The Fresno Chaffee Zoo offers camps for ages 3-17.

Cubby Camp

Ages 3-5
What They Do: Enjoy learning with games, art, projects, and fun. Children will engage in a hands-on learning atmosphere. Each class will include a tour of the Zoo and an educational animal visit. A snack will be provided during the morning. Children must be potty trained. Please bring a change of clothes. Morning extended care is available for an additional fee. Extended care in the afternoon is not available for Cubby Campers.
Dates: Every Monday through Friday from June 11-August 17 from 9am to 12pm

Price: For Members – $125; for Non-members – $135; on the week of July 2-6 there will be no camp on July 4 – the price is reduced for members – $100 and for non-members – $108

Adventure Camp

Ages 5-11
What They Do: All sessions of Adventure Camp foster an appreciation for and understanding of animals and nature through live animal interactions, animal observations, games, arts & crafts, and many other exciting activities. Each session will include a tour of the Zoo. A morning and afternoon snack will be provided. Please bring your own lunch. Campers will be grouped by age. Extended care is available for an additional fee.
Dates: Every Monday through Friday from June 11-August 17 from 9am to 4pm

Price: For Members – $215; for Non-members – $230; on the week of July 2-6 there will be no camp on July 4 – the price is reduced for members – $172 and for non-members – $184

Young Naturalist

Ages 12-17
What They Do: Find out what it’s really like to be a zookeeper! Learn about day-to-day care of Fresno Chaffee Zoo animals through the eyes of a zookeeper. Students experience hands-on learning by working alongside Fresno Chaffee Zoo staff, including unique behind-the-scenes experiences! All campers must be 12 years old by the date of their camp, no exceptions.
Note: Space is extremely limited.
Dates: July 9-13; July 23-27 (Jr. Marine Biology) June 18-22; July 16-20; July 30-August 3; August 6-10 (Jr. Zookeeper)

Break the Barriers

Ages 5-12
What They Do: This summer, join Break the Barriers in a galaxy far, far away! Bring your 5-12 year old child to Break the Barriers, Monday-Friday from 9am to 12pm, to enjoy exciting games and activities in gymnastics, dance, martial arts, aquatics, and art. There will also be a performance day at the end of the week, where the kids can show off what they learned to their family and friends. There will also be a swim day during the week. Coaches will tell kids when to bring their swimsuits.
Dates: June 25-29; July 9-13; July 16-20; July 23-27 from 9am to 12pm

People’s Church Summer Splash

Kids age 4 years old to 6th grade
What They Do: Summer Splash is an amazing free summer camp! Kids age 4 years old to 6th grade can come and learn about Jesus and have tons of fun along the way. Summer Splash will be June 11th – 14th from 5:00 – 8:00 PM. The best part? IT IS ABSOLUTELY FREE! Each night we will have crazy games, snack, inflatables, awesome characters and lots of fun!

VBS at First Church of God

Ages K-6th grade
What They Do: Kids will venture onto an uncharted island where they learn to survive and thrive, anchored in the truth that Jesus carries them through life’s storms. Each day at Shipwrecked VBS, kids will travel through field-tested rotations that reinforce relevant Bible Points and immerse them in new adventures. We look forward to having your child(ren) join us for a week of adventure!

Skate Camp

Ages 5 to Adults
What They Do: Skaters will learn new skills such as Pushing, Pumping, Carving, and Park Etiquette in beginner, intermediate, and expert levels.
Dates: 3 different sessions from June 18-22, July 2-6, July 16-20 from 8am to 12pm

Camp Survivor

Ages 8 – 12
What They Do: Compete in Woodward Park Survivor Challenges! Games center on teamwork and teams compete against each other for points! Based on the television show Survivor!
Dates: July 23-27 from 8am to 12pm

Young Filmmakers

Ages 9-13
What They Do: Is your child interested in video and movie making? Then this is the perfect summer educational opportunity! CMAC’s expert staff members will guide your child through a fun and exciting four-day filmmaking camp. They will produce, direct and act in a short film developed from an original script. They’ll learn about filmmaking using iPad camera kits, lighting, and editing with iMovie software. Campers will receive a CMAC t-shirt, daily snacks, a flash drive containing their short film, and a 1-year CMAC membership. We will screen the short films for the campers, their family, and friends on the last day of camp.
