Enjoy a family friendly, old fashioned holiday open house in Old Town Clovis on Thursday, November 15th from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. The event will include hot chocolate served by Santa’s Elves, groups of carolers, horse-drawn carriage rides, holiday lights and festive holiday shopping at unique local stores. This is a completely free family friendly event put on by Sierra Vista Mall on Friday November 16, from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M.. There will be a snow show, tree lighting, horse drawn carriage rides, visit from Santa, kid’s dance party, holiday crafts and other activities. For more information, visit their Facebook event page.
While Pinot’s Palette is an adult venue, they also offer pop-up family paint experiences at many other locations such as Dave & Buster’s, Round Table Pizza, and Hobby Lobby. Christmas themed paintings start as early as November 15th and will continue all season long. Get a 5 Minute, Private Photo Session with Santa and your little ones. Photo sessions start November 17th, and you can start booking your appointment as early as November 12th on their website.
From Christmas Tree Lane, to Candy Cane Lane, and the newest Santa Claus Lane, These three locations will get you in the Christmas mood. Don’t forget the Hot Chocolate! During the Fresno Chaffee Zoo’s annual Zoo Lights Event, the entire Zoo is transformed into a magical, winter wonderland, fully decorated and strung with miles of holiday lights! Enjoy holiday music, live entertainment, festive treats and beverages for adults and children. The event is open Friday, Saturday and Sunday Nights from 5:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M. starting November 23rd through December 30th.
Free photos with Santa Claus are available between November 23 – December 23rd.
Ticket Information: (Children 1 and under are free)
Members: $7 adults, $5 children (ages 2-11)
Non-Members: $9 adults, $7 children (ages 2-11)

The San Joaquin River Parkway and Conservation Trust is Hosting Party for the Parkway #48 (A Fundraiser event that helps support the River) called “Christmas in the City”. The event will take place on Saturday December 1st from 7:00 A.M. – 7:00 P.M. Guests will meet at the River Center, and hitch a bus ride to San Francisco for Christmas shopping at Neiman-Marcus, Saks, Nordstrom and Macy’s. There will be hot beverages and pastries before boarding the bus and lunch on your own. Union Square is full of glittering holiday displays and the fanciful store windows will delight you as you shop. You’ll meet back at the bus and dinner will be available for purchase as you make your way back home. Tickets are $50 for members, and $55 for non-members and can be purchased on their website. Join the Old Town Clovis Kiwanis in celebrating the holidays with the Clovis Children’s Electric Christmas Parade. Thousands attend this family-friendly event every year to see the lights, marching bands, cheer squads, horses, cars and more in Old Town Clovis. The parade starts at 6:30 P.M. on Saturday, December 1st on Clovis Avenue in Old Town Clovis.

Advanced Tickets are likely required for this event that takes place on Saturday December 1st from 8:00 A.M. to 10:00 A.M. (Seating is limited to 300 guests). Breakfast and Hot Cocoa will be served with Santa at the Kopje Lodge inside the zoo, overlooking the Savanna. Other activities include cookie decorating.

This year’s parade will take place on Saturday, December 8th from 1:00 P.M. – 3:00 P.M. On Fulton Street in Downtown Fresno. The theme this year is Future Christmas.

Playland Fresno is hosting a Santa’s Sleighland, a magical Christmas experience and a chance to ride the rides at night! Visit with Santa, take photos with the characters, enjoy the train ride, and enjoy the unlimited rides that evening. The dates are December 14th and December 21st, from 5:30 P.M. – 8:30 P.M. Tickets start at $12, if purchased before December 9th, and can be purchased on their website or Playland ticket office.
Bethany Church in Fresno will be putting on their annual Journey to Bethlehem event, an immersive and interactive walk through event that tells the story of the birth of Jesus. The event will take place in the evenings from Tuesday December 18th, through Friday December 21st from 6:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M.. More information will be available soon on their Facebook page.
Our local Good Company Players are putting on an original Christmas Play ever Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday until December 23rd at the 2nd Space Theater in the Tower District. The play is self-described as “a delightful smorgasbord of holiday cheer, old and new”. The play is rated G. Tickets are $18 for students and seniors, and $20 for general admission.
