Fresno Holiday Events

December in Fresno is when the lights go up, trees are seen on top of cars, and the Holiday events start. If you’re looking for some Holiday cheer this season, try out these seasonal events.

Christmas Tree Lane

About: Christmas Tree Lane is a street where 140 homes and 300 trees are decorated with millions of lights. This is the 94th anniversary of the event, making it one of the longest run holiday events nationwide.

Where: Christmas Tree Lane takes place on Van Ness Boulevard between Shields Avenue and Shaw Avenue. Drivers can access the street from Shields Avenue and drive north towards Shaw Avenue.

When: Christmas Tree Lane is open from December 3rd to December 25th. It runs Sundays through Thursdays from 6:00pm to 10:00pm. There are two walking days, where the street is blocked off from cars and people are able to walk down the 2-mile display of lights. The walk nights take place on Saturday, December 3rd and Tuesday, December 13th.

Pictures With Santa

About: This event is sponsored by HGTV allowing children to take pictures with Santa. Reservations are available but not required. Exciting features include Elf-Ray Vision and the Naughty-or-Nice ‘O Meter.

Where: This event is hosted by Fashion Fair Mall at 645 E. Shaw Ave. Fresno, CA 93710. It is located in Center Court of the mall.

When:
December 1 – December 3:
MON-THURS: 11am-8pm
FRI-SAT: 10am-9pm
SUN: 11am-7pm
December 4-11: 10am-9pm
December 12-23: 9am-9pm
December 24 (Christmas Eve): 8am-6pm

Santa Can You Hear Me? The first three Tuesdays in December, there will be an interpreter to make sure that deaf and hard-of-hearing children are able to talk to Santa.

A Christmas Story @ Rocker Rocka’s Dinner Theater

About: Back by popular demand, Roger Rocka’s will have multiple shows of the broadway version of The Christmas Story.

Where: Roger Rocka’s Dinner Theater at 1226 North Wishon Avenue Fresno, CA 93728

When: There are a lot of dates and times to choose from for this event, mostly taking place on the weekends in December. Buy tickets here!

Kay Kringle’s Christmas Tree

About: This Christmas tree farm is a great family event to get away from Christmas shopping and enjoy the outdoors. Come get your Christmas tree here, and enjoy craft vendors, a cup of hot chocolate, a cinnamon bun, and chicken kabobs on the weekends.

Where: Kay Kringle’s Christmas Tree farm is located off of highway 41 at 8805 CA-41, Fresno, CA 93711.

When: Opening day is November 25th and goes until December 23rd. Hours vary depending on the day but it is usually open from 9:00am to 9:00pm. Call (559) 438-0638 before going to check the hours that day.

Downtown Fresno 87th Annual Christmas Parade

About: The Downtown Fresno 87th Annual Christmas Parade is a great time to get out with your family and enjoy the festivities of the Christmas season.

Where: The parade will start on the corner of Chuckchansi park at H Street and Inyo Street and end at the corner of N Street and Main Street.

When: The parade will start at 11am on Saturday, December 3rd.

Elf the Musical

About: Elf the Musical is the hilarious story of Buddy, an orphaned child who snuck into Santa’s bag and was raised as an elf in the North Pole. All age groups will love this entertaining tale!

Where: Saroyan Theatre – 730 M St, Fresno, CA 93721

Dates and Time: December 14 & 15 at 7:30pm

It’s a Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play

About: Everyone’s favorite holiday classic is on the air!

Where: 2nd Space Theatre – 928 E. Olive, Fresno, Ca. 93728
