Fresno Holiday Events in 2017

December in Fresno is when the lights go up, trees are seen on top of cars, and the Holiday events start. If you’re looking for some Holiday cheer this season, check out these seasonal events.

Christmas Tree Lane


Christmas Tree Lane is a street where 140 homes and 300 trees are decorated with millions of lights. This is the 95th anniversary of the event, making it one of the longest run holiday events nationwide.


Christmas Tree Lane takes place on Van Ness Boulevard between Shields Avenue and Shaw Avenue. Drivers can access the street from Shields Avenue and drive north towards Shaw Avenue.


Christmas Tree Lane is open from December 2nd to December 25th. It runs Sundays through Thursdays from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm and Fridays and Saturdays from 6:00 pm to 11:00 pm. There are two walking days, where the street is blocked off from cars and people are able to walk down the 2-mile display of lights. The walk nights take place on Saturday, December 2nd and Tuesday, December 12th.

Fashion Fair Pictures With Santa


The Fashion Fair event is sponsored by HGTV and is open now until December 24th. Online reservations are now available but not required. Exciting features include Elf-Ray Vision, the Naughty-or-Nice ‘O Meter, and Holiday Fun Photo Options.


This event is hosted by Fashion Fair Mall at 645 E. Shaw Ave. Fresno, CA 93710. It is located in Center Court of the mall.


November – December 3:
Mondays-Thursdays: 11am-8pm
Fridays-Saturdays: 10am-9pm
Sundays: 11am-7pm
December 4-10: 10am-9pm
December 11-23: 9am-9pm
December 24 (Christmas Eve): 8am-6pm

Santa Can You Hear Me?

The first three Tuesdays in December, December 5th, 12th, and 19th, there will be an interpreter to make sure that deaf and hard-of-hearing children are able to talk to Santa.

River Park Pictures with Santa


Holiday Magic Studios is hosting pictures with Santa at River Park this year. You can book your appointment with Santa to avoid the line!


This event will take place at River Park Shopping Center near the Edwards Theatre.


This event takes place from November 28th to December 24th. Below are the hours you can visit Santa.
Mondays – Fridays: 1 pm – 9 pm
Saturdays – Sundays: 8 am – 9 pm
December 22nd – December 23rd: 8 am – 10 pm
December 24th: 8 am – 5:30 pm

Photos with Santa at Sierra Vista Mall

Sierra Vista Mall has photos with Santa as well as Pet photos and story time with Santa.


This event takes place at Sierra Vista Mall at 1050 Shaw Ave, Clovis, California 93612.


Pictures with Santa take place November 17 through December 24
November 17th – 30th: Monday – Saturday 10 am – 8 pm; Sunday 11 am – 6 pm
December 1st – 24th: Monday – Sunday 10 am – 8 pm


Zoolights transforms the Fresno Chaffeee Zoo into a winter wonderland. There will be live entertainment, festive treats and beverages, free photos with Santa Claus and Holographic glasses. Tickets for members cost $7 for adults and $5 for children (ages 2-11). Tickets for non-member cost $9 for adults and $7 for children (ages 2-11). Children 1 and under go free.


This event takes place at the Fresno Chaffee Zoo.


November 24-26; December 1-3, 8-10, 15-23, 26-30 from 5 pm to 8 pm.

Kay Kringle’s Christmas Tree


This Christmas tree farm is a great family event to get away from Christmas shopping and enjoy the outdoors. Come get your Christmas tree here, and enjoy craft vendors, a cup of hot chocolate, a cinnamon bun, and chicken kabobs on the weekends.


Kay Kringle’s Christmas Tree farm is located off of highway 41 at 8805 CA-41, Fresno, CA 93711.


Opening day is November 27th and goes until December 23rd. Hours vary depending on the day but it is usually open from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm. Call (559) 438-0638 before going to check the hours that day.

Downtown Fresno 88th Annual Christmas Parade


The Downtown Fresno 88th Annual Christmas Parade is a great time to get out with your family and enjoy the festivities of the Christmas season. This years theme is “A Funky Fulton Christmas”.


The parade will take place at Fulton Street in Downtown Fresno.


The parade will start at 11 am on Saturday, December 2nd.
