Summer is nearly here and there are a lot of upcoming Fresno events this June! Don’t miss out on them this year. Here are some of the most popular events in June.

Poverello House 5K Run for Meals

Details: Come help support the work that Poverello House does to provide for those in need. Your whole family can participate in the 6th Annual Run for Meals 5k Run or 2 Mile Walk. All proceeds will benefit Poverello House to continue to provide vital services for the poor, hungry and homeless. Any way you choose to contribute will make a difference.
Location: Woodward Park – Sunset View Shelter – 7775 N Friant Rd, Fresno, CA US 93720
Date & Time: June 2nd at 7:30 a.m. for the 5k run and 7:45 a.m. for the 2 mile walk
Price: Adult price for 5k run or 2 mile walk is $35.

Fresno FC vs. Seattle Sounders 2

Details: Come support the Fresno football club by attending their game at Chukchansi Park!
Location: Chukchansi Park – 1800 Tulare Street, Fresno
Date & Time: June 2nd at 7 p.m.
Price: Prices vary based on seating location – Get your tickets here!

5K Bubble Fun Run for Asthma Awareness

Details: The 5k Bubble Fun Run is for local community members to come together to support the fight against asthma. The event is a 5k run or walk that will have complimentary snacks, water, a free t-shirt, bubbles, music, and prizes. It is an event for the whole family!
Location: Woodward Park – Mountain View Shelter – 7775 N Friant Rd, Fresno, CA US 93720
Date & Time: June 9th from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m.
Price: $30 for adults over 16, $20 for youth ages 6-16, and $20 for all ages

2018 Kid’s Summer Movie Series

Details: This is an ongoing event with movies every Wednesday during the summer. The movies are shown on Wednesdays at 10 a.m. only. The movies playing are:

  • Despicable Me 3 – June 20
  • Boss Baby – June 27
  • Captain Underpants – July 4
  • Ferdinand – July 11/li>
  • Rock Dog – July 18
  • Lego: Ninjango – July 25
  • Smurfs: The Lost Village – August 1
  • Paddington 2 – August 8

Location: Sierra Vista Mall – 1300 Shaw Avenue, Clovis
Date & Time: Every Wednesday from June 20 to August 8 at 10 a.m.
Price: $8 for all 8 movies (package deal) or $1.50 at the box office
