Get ready for some awesome August events in Fresno! There are lots of them!

Into the Woods – Good Company Players

Into the Woods is a mash-up of famous fairytales with amazing accompaniment. Don’t miss this play put on at Roger Rocka’s Dinner Theatre.
When: There are various showtimes all throughout August and into September. See the dates and showtimes here!
Where: Roger Rocka’s Dinner Theatre
Price: Prices vary depending on what night you go but they range from $32 (without dinner) to $60 (with dinner). See the details here.

Much Ado About Nothing

The Woodward Shakespeare Festival is putting on the production of Much Ado About Nothing; a beach party which leads to a young couple tricking their verbally sparring friends into falling in love with one another, proving that we all have different takes on romance.
When:The production will show every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday at 8:00pm from August 2-25
Where: Woodward Park
Price: Admission is FREE but there is a $5 car entrance fee. If you walk into the park, you don’t have to pay.

Fireworks on the Lake

Wild Water Adventure Park is putting on a fireworks show above the lake. Come early to reserve your spots for the best view!
When: Saturday, August 4th and Saturday, August 11th from 7:30pm – 8:30pm

Ice Cream Zoofari

Beat the heat in this annual all-you-can-eat ice cream FUNdraiser! Enjoy unlimited ice cream, sherbets, frozen yogurt, and sundaes. Satisfy your sweet cravings while strolling through the Zoo, getting the latest scoop on their favorite animals and enjoying kid-friendly entertainment! THIS EVENT WILL SELL-OUT! Get your tickets early! No refunds or exchanges. This event runs rain or shine.

Toro Nagashi 2018: Floating Lantern Ceremony

Toro Nagashi is a ceremoney where ancestral spirits are sent back to their spiritual homes through lighted paper lanterns floating on the lake. Purchase a lantern in memory of a loved one.
When: Saturday, August 11 from 6:30pm – 9:00pm
Where: Shinzen Friendship Garden in Woodward Park
Price: $25 for a pre-ordered lantern; $30 at the event (lanterns are limited). Pre-order your lantern here.

Fresno Greek Fest

Fresno Greek Fest is back again this year with food and drinks, live music and dancing, and activities for the kids. Don’t miss out on the best party Fresno throws all summer! Click here to volunteer!
When: August 24 from 4pm-midnight; August 25 from 11am-midnight; August 26 from 11am-6pm

Polynesian Dance Night

Moravia Wines is putting on a Polynesian dance night for families and serving Big Rig BBQ for dinner. Enjoy Sangria or a glass of wine while being entertained by Polynesian dancers.
When: August 24 from 6pm-9pm
Where: Moravia Wines – 3620 N Bishop Ave, Fresno
Price: $5 cover charge; Anyone under 21 and CREW members are free; You can reserve a table for you and your family or friends for $45. Only 4 tables are available for reservation.

Bubble Run – Fresno 2018

Run a 5K through bubbles! Each kilometer Foam Bogs are released with colored foam to color you head to toe! Fee includes Bubble RUN tee shirt, Runner headband, temp tattoo, Race Bib Number, and entry into the raddest Bubble 5K!

Roar & Pour

A 21 and over wine tasting event at the Fresno Chaffee Zoo! Walk through the zoo and enjoy a variety of Fresno’s local wineries! There will be live music starting at 5:30pm. Wineries that are participating include Kings River Winery, O’Neill Vintners, Agajanian Vineyards, Quady Winery, Toca Madera Winery, Dracaena Winery, Justin Winery, Ziveli Winery and Farmer’s Fury Winery. This event will sell out so get your tickets now!
