April has all kinds of events to choose from this year! You don’t want to miss these upcoming events!

Camp Fair ’17

If your child has always wanted to go to summer camp, then you don’t want to miss this event. Taking place at New Covenant Community Church, this event will give you all the information you need about summer camps in and around Fresno. Different camps include sleep-away camps, day camps, local sports, activity, and enrichment programs. Ask all of your questions to the camp representatives and see pictures and videos. The first 300 families will receive a goodie bag. The food trucks Meltdown Bistro, Mattie’s Wood Fired Pizza, and Jay’s Specialty Ice Cream will be there too! The event takes place from 3:00pm – 7:00pm on Tuesday, April 4th.

Easter Egg Hunts

Churches around Fresno are hosting Easter egg hunts for anyone to attend. People’s Church is hosting the largest one in Fresno on Saturday, April 15th. They plan to have 250,000 Easter eggs filled with candy and toys. If you would like to volunteer to help them reach their goal, visit their website!
Southgate Church is hosting the annual Golden Egg Hunt. This event is free and takes place on Saturday, April 15th at 10:00am. There will be games, prizes, and thousands of filled eggs.

Spring Kids Camp at Project Survival’s Cat Haven

The Cat Haven is hosting a kid’s camp on Saturday, April 15th, and Sunday, April 16th. Families will start with a guided tour at 1:00pm, then the kids will join a fun class about how to identify different animal tracks, focusing on tracks of local wildlife. To finish off, kids will make their own bobcat footprint to take home. Parents can relax on the outdoor deck during this time. Parents will also see a training session with the youngest Serval. Once the kid’s class is finished, they will join the parents for cookies and face painting. Kid’s tickets are $25 and parents tickets are $15. The kid’s portion of the day is best for kids ages 6-12. Color Me Rad

The Color Me Rad 5k run is taking place in Woodward Park on April 23rd this year. If you haven’t already bought a ticket the price is $39 if you buy by April 14th. After that, the ticket prices rise to $44. With the fee, you will receive a t-shirt, temporary RAD tattoo, and a goo-guard phone case. Kids seven and under run free! Register for the race here!

Insane Inflatable 5K in Fresno

Taking place at the Fresno Fairgrounds, this event is an extreme obstacle course made up entirely of inflatables obstacles. They even made custom inflatables for this event. Tickets are $49. Get them while they last!
