Valentine’s Day is the busiest day for restaurants, making it difficult to get a reservation. But there are more things to do in Fresno to celebrate Valentine’s Day besides going to dinner. Here are some fun ideas to do for Valentine’s Day this year.
The Shinzen Garden is an American-Japanese garden located in Woodward Park. You won’t be able to visit the Shinzen Japanese Gardens on Valentine’s Day but you can celebrate the weekend before or after. Take a romantic walk through the beautiful gardens to see the blossoms of the Ume tree, an apricot/plum tree. These blossoms only bloom in late January and early February, making it a perfect Valentine’s Day date.
The Fresno Valentine Run is on February 11, at 8:15 a.m. and takes places at Woodward Park. You can choose between a 5k run or walk for adults, a 2-mile walk for adults, a 5k run or walk for anyone under 18, or a 2-mile walk for anyone under 18. The fees vary by age and there are lots of fun things that are included in this run including free admission to the Shinzen Japanese Gardens. View the details to sign up here!
Fresno’s Mega 97.9 has teamed up with Pacific Concert Group to put on this concert. The Valentine’s Super Love Jam takes place on Friday, February 9th at 7:30 p.m. at the Selland Arena. Get your tickets here!

Taking place at Di Cicco’s Italian Restaurant in Clovis, this comedy show is performed by two comedians who are in a relationship with each other.
