Professional Soccer Comes to Fresno

Fresno Football Club (FC) is the San Joaquin Valley’s first ever professional soccer team. The team is a member of the United Soccer League (USL), which is one below Major League Soccer (MLS). The clubs’ first season game is on March 17th at 7pm at Chuckchansi Park. See their schedule here. From the words of the club themselves, “Fresno FC exists to provide a top-class, inclusive and dynamic sporting experience to build memories for fans in one of the nation’s most diverse regions.”

The mascot for Fresno FC is a fox, which is from this region and is known for its fierce demeanor of never giving up.

The roster for Fresno FC consists of players from the U.S., Canada, France, Mexico, Argentina, Brazil, Sierra Leone, Colombia, and Peru.
